Setting the Task and First Steps
In early autumn, our client—a brand that recently underwent rebranding in Turkey and Kazakhstan—tasked us with attracting a new audience with a focus on a high percentage of players making repeat deposits. Considering the market specifics and the client’s goals, Facebook was chosen as the main platform for traffic, with a strong emphasis on managing traffic quality and volume.
Although our collaboration began in the summer, the campaign actively launched in September. The main KPIs set for us included:
- A 14-day attribution window.
- A focus on a high number of deposits.
- A minimum user acquisition cost while maintaining profitability.
Trials, Tests, and the Path to the Ideal Setup
The initial tests revealed some interesting insights. At first, we worked with only one ad format, but we soon realized the need to adapt our approach to the unique characteristics of each region. For example, in Turkey, our test setups quickly showed high efficiency, and we achieved the desired metrics much faster than in Kazakhstan.
The work wasn’t always smooth: we had to test numerous approaches, experiment with creatives, and refine strategies to achieve positive ROI. We carefully monitored every stage of the launch and adjusted our strategy whenever the acquisition cost exceeded acceptable limits.
With Turkey, we achieved a stable flow of profitable traffic more quickly. Kazakhstan required more attention, but after a series of experiments and fine-tuning of ads, we managed to align the metrics there as well.
Results: 10x Growth
We started with a small test budget, and after a few months, optimising and scaling approaches, we increased traffic volume and budget. This allowed us to make a high net profit.
These results were made possible through constant improvements, testing setups, and selecting optimal channels for audience acquisition. We also added new GEOs to the campaign, including Canada, India, and Azerbaijan, to expand the brand’s reach.
Expanding to New GEOs and Future Plans
Given our successful experience, we started running campaigns for the client’s primary brands as well. Our new regions include Brazil, Chile, England, and Poland. Each region requires strategy adaptation and consideration of local specifics, and we’re ready to tackle this challenge thanks to our experience and data, which allow us to respond quickly and find the most effective approaches.
For example, Poland has a mentality similar to the Russian market but with a higher income level, providing a unique opportunity to adapt our approach for maximum returns.
